Fabricut, Inc. is a worldwide distributor of decorative fabrics headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

  • Ruby on Rails development on apps hosted on private servers and AWS.
  • Shipped the employee portal (vacation scheduling, directory, handbook, applications, Twilio SMS), earning a company Bravo Award.
  • Added an entirely new rugs product line and configurator; later led a major refactor of the Quick Ship Panel configurator from React to Stimulus.

  • Custom PHP/MySQL websites, eCommerce, content management systems, SEO, and third-party API integrations.
  • Built trust, built businesses, built a great many websites.
  • Also did the books. And the sales. And the support. (It was a lot.)

Various Adventures

They say a varied work history makes you "well-rounded." I prefer to think of it as extremely interesting at parties. Some of the more memorable ones:

  • Crew Member, Wisconsin Conservation Corps (a tree twisted on a knot, fell and smashed my chainsaw)
  • Wireless / Cell Phone Sales, Walmart (someone left a booger on the Tracfone renewal card)
  • Assistant Disc Jockey, Tone Deaf DJ (parTEE at the weddings!)
  • Driver / general laborer, crackfilling crew, Fahrner Asphalt (grilling ears of corn in the tar kettle)
  • General labor, Canning department, Del Monte (fungus in the green beans?!?)
  • Cashier, Lawn and Garden Department, Shopko (lessons on theft and loss tolerance)
  • Customer service rep, Figi's Inc. (this is what it means to sit in a cubicle)
  • Call out survey taker, WGLX radio station, Wisconsin Rapids (Classic Rock wins the day!)
  • Cashier, Burger King (the drive-thru speed challenge)
